EASTENDERS fans are predicting a killer twist after Elaine Peacock’s return to Walford.
The mother of Linda Carter – who is played by actress Harriet Thorpe in the BBC soap – made herself at home in the Vic tonight after being unveiled as it’s new co-owner.

Nish appears to flirt with Elaine
Walking over to a clearly furious Nish and Suki, Elaine introduced herself properly but was amused by Nish’s attempt at pleasantries.
He told her: “Please allow me to offer my sincerest congratulations. You’re far better suited to changing barrels and dealing with drunks than I am.”
Amused, Elaine fixed him with a stare and told him: “I’m going to make this brief because unlike you, I have a pub to run.
“I know men like you. Men who think a nice suit and a wide smile will hide the fact that inside they feel small. Let me tell you something – you don’t fool me. Enjoy your drink.”
Elaine then took pride of place at the bar and took another shot once Suki decided to leave.
“You’ve been sitting in silence there for that long that I’ve been trying to work out which of you is the ventriloquist or the dummy,” she said as Linda stepped in to prevent things descending into full on warfare.
However later once they’d closed up the pub, mother and daughter ended up in a furious row before heading to bed.
And when they were woken up in the middle of the night by the sounds of someone smashing up the Vic, Elaine charged in having grabbed an iron from the kitchen.
They didn’t catch who it was but Linda spotted the tacky ornament Nish had given her left undisturbed on the bar around the devastation.
But the fact she grabbed an iron – reminiscent of Little Mo fighting back against abusive Trevor – has fans wondering if it’s a clue for the Christmas killing.
One wrote: “I swear that flamingo gift from Nish is going to end up being the murder weapon at Christmas”
A second said: “I think Nish is behind the break in of the queen vic”
Another added: “The pub gets trashed! Was that Nish giving the Carter’s a warning?”
