The BBC has announced a major schedule shake-up this week, with popular shows EastEnders, Silent Witness, and Waterloo Road being pulled off air for one night.

FA Cup Rematch

Bristol City and West Ham United had a tied match in their second FA Cup rematch, leading to another game on Tuesday night.

EastEnders has been affected by a BBC scheduling shake up

A new episode of Silent Witness will also be pushed back

Waterloo Road is set to be affected as well

Rescheduled Episodes

As a result of the live football game broadcast, EastEnders will have its Tuesday night episode pushed back this week. To make up for it, an extra episode of the soap will be shown on Friday night.

The fourth episode of Silent Witness, originally scheduled for January 16, will now air on the following Monday, January 22. This change has pushed the show's runtime back by a week. The drama will then be off screen for the rest of the week, with a rerun taking its usual slot. Silent Witness will resume its normal biweekly schedule on January 29.

Waterloo Road will also be pushed back a week due to the football game. The episode originally planned for Tuesday, January 16, will now air on Tuesday, January 23. Both Waterloo Road and Silent Witness are available on BBC iPlayer.
