KAT Slater’s marriage to Phil Mitchell took an unexpected turn this week, as Alfie Moon returned to Walford.
Alfie Moon, who is played by Shane Richie in the BBC soap – arrived back in Albert Square after being contacted by his younger children, with a plan to destroy Kat and Phil’s marriage.
In last night’s scenes, Alfie set about with his plan to end the marriage as he lured Kat to his canal boat.
Once there, he told the soon-to-be Mitchell that her two kids, Bert and Ernie, were on the boat with him.
This was just a trick to get Kat on the boat, however, and once she stepped foot on the vessel, he set sail.
Having trapped his former lover on a boat, Alfie desperately tried to convince her to leave Phil, but she was determined to see it through.
After he realised his plan had failed, Alfie agreed to take Kat to the wedding, but there was a problem.
The boat’s motor had stopped working.
Could this be the end of Kat and Phil’s marriage?
