EASTENDERS’ fans are waiting with baited breath to find out what happened to Shirley Carter after a horrific attack left her near death.
The former barmaid was attacked by Gray Atkins as he was attempting to evade police arrest – as the horrifying truth about his multiple murders came to light.
After learning the truth about how Gray had murdered TIna Carter, Shirley smashed a glass over Gray’s head and whacked him across the back with a bar stool in the brutal clash.
But Gray escaped from the Vic after walloping Shirley on the back of the head with a cut glass vase – with her being carted off to hospital with a severe head injury.
But now it has been revealed that Shirley is ok, as she walked in on Nancy and some other residents holding a bit of a remembrance gathering for Tina.
She – along with Zack – decided to bring together some of Tina’s loved ones to remember the special moments they shared with her, but Shirley is left devastated as she walks in to see the gathering happening.
Whilst Shirley is now known to be ok, fans will no doubt be devastated for her as she struggles to cope in the wake of her loss.
