An EastEnders star may have unintentionally revealed who dies at Christmas in a behind-the-scenes photo. Fans of the popular BBC One soap have been eagerly waiting to find out the fate of a character during the highly-anticipated festive episode.

Speculation Rife After Flash-Forward Episode

In February, EastEnders aired a flash-forward episode that showed a dead male lying on the floor of the Queen Vic pub. Since then, speculation has been rampant online about who the deceased character could be. The scene featured six of Walford's matriarchs – Denise Fox, Kathy Beale, Linda Carter, Sharon Watts, Stacey Slater, and Suki Panesar – standing over the dead body.

Seven Possible Victims

EastEnders has confirmed that the character who dies at Christmas will be one of seven individuals: Nish Panesar, Ravi Gulati, Keanu Taylor, Dean Wicks, Phil Mitchell, Rocky Cotton, or Jack Branning.

Behind-the-Scenes Snap Gives a Clue

Heather Peace, who plays Eve Baldwin on the show, recently posted a behind-the-scenes photo as filming wrapped up for the Christmas break. In the picture, she can be seen sitting on a staircase with her co-stars Thomas Law and Matthew Morrison. Alongside the photo, she wrote, "We wrapped for Xmas on @bbceastenders. We love a jamming session, so we had a jam in the stairwell. It put us well & truly in the Christmas spirit 🙂 @Thomaslaw92 @matt_james_morr Happy holidays!"

Is Nish Panesar the Victim?

Recent episodes of EastEnders have shown Nish vowing to never let her character Eve and Suki end up together, even going as far as threatening murder. Eve recently returned from the dead after framing Nish and Ravi for her murder and is planning to flee with Suki to escape them. However, with Eve still in Albert Square, it suggests that Nish might be the Christmas Day victim.

The Big Reveal

Fans will have to tune in on Christmas Day to see if Nish does indeed end up on the cold floor of the Queen Vic. EastEnders airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
