EastEnders fans are in for a game-changing Christmas episode, as a new trailer hints at a second death. The mystery victim, first teased earlier this year, will finally be revealed on Christmas Day.

A New Trailer

EastEnders bosses are ramping up the intrigue with new clues and trailers. The latest teaser features Kathy Beale, now known as Kathy Cotton. In the trailer, Kathy stands and chops the heads off pink flowers with a meat cleaver, before glaring into the camera. A blackboard to one side reads: "For whom the bell tolls".

Fans Speculate

Fans were quick to speculate about the meaning behind Kathy chopping up the flowers. Some believe it symbolizes loss of love and devotion, while others think it could be related to a character named Cindy or Linda. The mystery continues to captivate viewers, with many excited for the last part of the puzzle.

Six Characters Involved

Five trailers have been released so far, each featuring one of the six characters involved in the Christmas storyline. Alongside Kathy, the other women involved are Sharon Watts, Suki Panesar, Linda Carter, Stacey Slater, and Denise Fox. However, Kathy's trailer is the only one to feature a potential murder weapon.

The Backstory

Kathy, unaware of her husband Rocky's involvement, is currently dealing with the aftermath of a fire at the cafe. Rocky caused the fire in an attempt to receive a large insurance payout due to his mounting debts. The fire left Kathy's grandson Peter Beale in intensive care after he heroically tried to save his brother Bobby.

EastEnders airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
