Actress Patsy Kensit, who joined the cast of EastEnders in late January, is set to return next week as her character Emma Harding makes a shocking comeback. Emma, who previously abandoned her daughter Lola Pearce during her final days, comes back to Walford to reconnect with her granddaughter Lexi. But her return will have explosive consequences for the residents of Albert Square.
Emma's Previous Departure
Emma Harding fled the Square just as her daughter Lola was living her final days. Feeling overwhelmed by Lola's struggle, Emma abandoned her once again. This left young Lexi Pearce to cope with her mother's heart-breaking death.
Lexi's Mysterious Behavior
When Lexi starts behaving strangely with her phone, Jay becomes concerned and discovers that she has been texting Emma. It's revealed that Lexi has been messaging her for several weeks and is worried about her well-being.
Jay's Dilemma
Unable to forgive Emma for abandoning both Lexi and Lola, Jay throws her out of Lexi's life. However, Lexi's pleas and emotional messages to Emma make Jay reconsider his decision.
An Unexpected Encounter
Emma's chaotic return takes an interesting turn when she bumps into Walford tough man Phil Mitchell at a local wine bar.
Ben's Fury
Upon hearing that Emma is back in Albert Square, Ben is furious and bans her from seeing Lexi. Kathy Beale steps in to counsel Jay and encourage him to consider Lexi's feelings.
Emma's Determination
Emma continues to push for access to Lexi and, reluctantly, Jay allows it. During an emotional conversation, Emma promises never to leave Lexi again. However, Ben soon crushes her hopes.
