Michelle, 46, and Kate, joined the The Loose Women panel on Wednesday to reveal the gender of their baby.

Wearing a floral maxi dress, Michelle showed off her perfectly growing baby bump at 23 weeks pregnant.

The soap star opened up about the donor process and said: “We were at the clinic but we didn’t know much about it and it was as simple as what characteristics and we didn’t know really…just as long as they’re kind really.”

The couple then revealed: “So baby number two is a little girl.”

The couple already share son Teddy, who was born in October 2020.

Last month, Michelle shared an adorable snap of Teddy with the news on a screen behind him reading: “Coming this winter… baby Brooks #2.”

She captioned the Instagram post: “We are super excited about our
gorgeous news! I’m 20 weeks today and can almost rest a cup of tea on my bump #bigbrother.”

The pair was inundated with messages of congratulations from her co-stars.

Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle, wrote: “FINALLY!!! I can tell my Dad
and Brother now, Love to you both, you know how elated we are for you!! So much love.”

Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy Metcalfe, gushed: “Awwwww babe!!!!! It’s so exciting!!! (sic)”

The actress had hinted at expanding her brood in May.
Asked about having more children, she said: “Oh, that would be amazing.

“We’d definitely love Teddy to have a brother or sister. And if we’re
lucky enough, fantastic – for him as well, not just for us.”

Kate added: “We’re both from big, noisy families with a lot going on.

“There’s always a drama, always laughter. For Teddy to have a taste of
that would be amazing.

“Teddy loves playing with his cousins on both sides of the family. So, all being well, a little one might be on the cards.”

The couple tied the knot at Elvis’ Graceland mansion in Memphis in September 2019.

Michelle and Kate underwent IVF to have Teddy and found it was successful on their first try.
