On-screen, viewers have seen Paddy struggle to cope in the aftermath of his separation with Chas as he deals with loneliness and feeling out of place in the family home.

The Dingle family were dealt a devastating blow when they were told that the search for missing Paddy was being scaled back after his card was seen to have withdrawn £200 in Skipdale.

PC Swirling admitted to the family that because of this and what they perceived as a low risk case, there would not be as many officers working on the search going forward.

This left Chas, Mandy and Paddy’s father Bear in despair as they feared they might never see Paddy again.

However, in a huge breakthrough, after ringing around the local B&B’s, the family were overjoyed when they were informed by one that Paddy had been staying at their premesis.

Mandy and Chas both rushed over to the B&B in an attempt to speak to Paddy but they were informed that he wasn’t there at the moment but had paid for a further three nights, with the owner insisting that he said he would be back in time for Celebrity Catchphrase.

However, some fans were left confused as to how Mandy and Chas arrived at the location.

Writing online, one said: “So did Chas and Mandy know the exact address by telepathy  #emmerdale”

While another penned: “#Emmerdale did anyone actually give Mandy and cheating Chas the address other than a b and b in Skipdale.”

Eventually, Mandy and Chas had a heart-to-heart as they waited for Paddy as they finally managed to put aside their differences.

Chas agreed to head home while Mandy would wait it out, fans of the soap picked up on another outlandish blunder.

As Chas set off in her car from the car park, she turned to drive past a not-so-hidden Paddy.

The lonely vet was attempting to hide across the street but many fans felt as though he was barely hidden and would be visible to Chas as she drove off.

Commenting on the moment, one fan said: “Good job Mandy and Chas aren’t in the police, Paddy hardly had a great hiding place at all but was still not spotted at all.”

Another questioned: “How did Chas not see Paddy when she was driving out he was in front of her.”

A third wrote: “He was practically standing in front of the car and she didn’t see him!! #Emmerdale”

As another summed up the scene by sating: “Must’ve had her bloody eyes closed. Ridiculous!”
