EMMERDALE fans are horrified after Laurel Thomas made a chilling discovery about councillor Colin tonight.
The restaurant manager – who is played by actress Charlotte Bellamy in the ITV soap – had sent Marshall back to live with his dad Colin last night.
Laurel left with Marshall and took him home to heal from his dad’s abuse and viewers were heartbroken for him
Teenager Marshall text Arthur to tell him how abusive his dad had been – so Laurel went to save him.
But as Colin tried to insist Marshall was fine, she noticed huge bruises up his arm.
“What have you done to him?” she said as she confronted Colin.
“Marshall, did he do this to you?” she asked as Colin snarled at him to not say anything.
With Marshall admitting it was his dad who hurt him, Colin said: “You little liar, go to your room.”
He grabbed Laurel and she told him: “Don’t you dare lay a finger on me.
“You’re nothing but a bully and a bigot and I’ve seen you for the hypocrite that you are. Marshall you don’t have to stay here, you can come home with me.”
As Colin tried to stop him, Laurel put him in his place.
“You try to stop him and I’ll not only call the police but I’ll make sure that everyone knows exactly what kind of man is charing the council,” she told him.
Marshall packed a bag but Colin refused to accept that his son could be gay and told him his dead mother would be ashamed of him.
Colin began ranting about God with his homophobia and he told Marshall he disowned him.
Laurel left with Marshall and took him home to heal from his dad’s abuse and viewers were heartbroken for him.
One wrote: “Oh my god! I am balling my eyes out.”
A second said: “Can’t believe that. Feel so sorry for Laurel.”
Another added: ” Aww poor Laurel, seriously. Hope he is going to be ok.”
