EMMERDALE fans are in shock after the bleak ending of tonight’s episode.
The ITV soap left fans stunned with its harrowing ending after Mary Goskirk decided to face down sex blackmailer Faye and report her to the police.
Mary and Rhona headed to the police station
Faye turned up and insisted she had deleted the photo
Mary was left horrified when the image leaked
Conwoman Faye had been threatening to send an intimate picture of Mary to her friends and family unless she withdrew her statement about Faye’s money scam.
Going to the police station, Mary had every intention of withdrawing – until her granddaughter April told her how she had inspired her by always exposing liars and cheats as a journalist.
Faye showed up for their meeting looking completely transformed leaving Mary stunned as she openly admitted lining up another woman to scam.

Mary told her she had retracted her statement and the police would be dropping the case, leading to Faye claiming to delete the picture.
“There, all gone,” she said. “Wasn’t so hard, was it? Nice doing business with you Mary.”
But as she tried to walk away Rhona arrived with the police and Mary revealed she had recorded the entire interaction – which was enough for Faye to be arrested.
However as she dragged into the car she shouted: “You think this is over? You’d be surprised. You’ll regret this.”
But as they were busy celebrating Mary getting one over on Faye and having her arrested, phones around them in the pub began to beep.
“Mum I’m so sorry,” said Rhona as the villagers began to see the picture leaving Mary devastated.
She fled outside in tears with Rhona in hot pursuit.
But as Rhona spotted her daughter April walking across the village looking at her phone, Rhona ran to her shouting at her not to open it.
But it was too late and April had seen the picture.
“She’s seen it,” said Mary horrified. “They’ve all seen it.”
Viewers are in utter shock at the bleak ending of the episode.
