EMMERDALE fans are in shock after villain Alex Moore woke up after Vicar Charles agreed to cover up his hit and run.
The vicar – who is played by actor Kevin Mathurin in the ITV soap – has been accused of running Alex over in his car.

The police are convinced he is to blame for Alex being left in a coma – and haven’t even considered the possibility that it was someone else.
Viewers know Billy Fletcher is really responsible in a tragic accident.
But with Billy’s guilt weighing heavily on him, he has struggled to cope.
And tonight when he spotted Charles being taken in for further questioning by the police, he realised he had to confess.
Fortunately he went to confess to Charles first – and the vicar gave him a huge shock – by insisting he covers up what really happened.
“No-one but God will know what happens next, if Alex doesn’t wake up, the case might possibly collapse,” he told Billy.
“There were no witnesses. So if he doesn’t wake up… he can’t collaborate anything and the case might possibly collapse.
“That way we are both in the clear.”
Despite Billy begging to hand himself in, Charles convinced him not to – sure that Alex would die.
But in a bombshell twist, Alex woke up in the hospital leaving fans speechless.
One wrote: “Oh ffs he’s waking up.”
A second said: “Evil always wakes up.”
Another added: “Alex won’t be able to remember who hit him he was on the phone and looking a different way to the car. Unless he tries to frame Billy there won’t be any evidence anyway unless Billy’s conscious gets the best of him.”
