Emmerdale fans were left stunned as Rhona Goskirk, played by Zoë Henry, dropped a bombshell on her husband Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock). Is their marriage in danger?
An Unexpected Bond
Tension is rising in Smithy Cottage as Marlon struggles with Gus, played by Alan McKenna. Gus overstepped earlier this year by using Rhona's frozen embryos. This led to the birth of their baby Ivy, but also the death of Gus's wife Lucy.
A Mother's Love
Rhona has been struggling with her unexpected connection to baby Ivy. She has even been accused of trying to steal her away from Gus. Rhona's mother Mary Goskirk, played by Louise Jameson, has invited Gus to move in with Ivy, which has caused tension in Marlon and Rhona's marriage.
A Breaking Point
Christmas morning turns sour when Marlon reaches his breaking point with Gus and storms off. Paddy Kirk, played by Dominic Brunt, convinces Marlon to try and save Christmas by being more understanding of Gus's grief.
A Plea for Help
In a later conversation, Rhona confirms Marlon's fears and admits that she has become attached to Ivy as her own baby. She pleads with him to help make this work within their family. Can Marlon support his wife through this difficult time?
