THINGS are looking up for Jai Sharma and his other half Laurel Thomas after a handful of troubled months.
But just as the pair decide to take their relationship to the next level, the Emmerdale businessman is hit with a huge bombshell.

ITV viewers will remember the couple encountered some money woes as they were unsure whether they could afford a holiday to Australia to spend time with Laurel’s father.
But tonight, Jai Sharma (portrayed by Chris Bisson) seemingly finds a solution but makes a big mistake whilst booking the holiday.
However, when Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) finds out he booked the honeymoon suite, she gets an idea.
Before long, Laurel gets down on one knee and asks Jai to marry her.
With her proposal delightfully accepted, they soon happily discuss the correct order to tell people their news.
Jai realises he needs to retrieve his divorce certificate so heads to find his legal documents as his father Rishi’s home.
Diehard fans of the Yorkshire-based drama will remember that, prior to his relationship with Laurel, Jai was married to Megan Macey and Charity Dingle.
Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) recently welcomed Thomas King into his home, meaning he’s had to make room for his new housemate.
Thomas saved Rishi from feeling lonely – he not only lost his wife Manpreet Sharma to Charles Anderson but also had to wave goodbye to his daughter Priya who moved away to London earlier this year.
Jai thus begins his search in a room where Rishi has stored many of his belongings in a rush.
He dislodges the contents of an old box and discovers an official document among the miscellanea.
But before he can discard it and move, Jai takes a closer look and realises that something is not right.
