REGRETFUL after spending the evening with another woman, Mackenzie Boyd tried to hide his deception from Charity Dingle.
Next week in Emmerdale, he resorts to taking his other half away from the village altogether.
Mackenzie Boyd is scared Charity Dingle will find out he cheated on her
He resorts to desperate measures to get her away from the truth
The village hunk played by Lawrence Robb is awash with guilt in upcoming scenes of the Yorkshire-based soap and beats himself up over his one night stand.
This leads him to the conclusion he has to come clean to Charity but he backtracks when the Woolpack landlady (portrayed by Emma Atkins) approaches him suggestively and he follows her upstairs.
At a loss, Mackenzie decides his best option could be taking his partner away from all the drama in the Dales.
Charity is thrilled when he surprises her with a trip to Ibiza, the perfect opportunity for her to recharge after going through a traumatic ectopic pregnancy.
Excited, she prepares for her trip away but a furtive Mackenzie has a lot more on his mind.
The character answers a call and demands that the person on the other end leave him alone.
Mackenzie strayed after him and Charity disagreed on the future of their relationship.
When Charity was forced to terminate her ectopic pregnancy in heart-breaking scenes, she tried to move on and drew a line on having children again.
However, Mackenzie was eager to try for another baby.
This created tension in their relationship and Charity recommended Mackenzie sleep with someone else if he was so desperate to become a father.
Mackenzie was then seen in bed with another mystery woman… just as Charity was having a change of heart over babies.
The pair have gone through their fair share of obstacles in the eponymous village.
Charity was also almost unfaithful to Mackenzie in March, 2022, when she was close to kissing her former fiancée, Vanessa Woodfield.
Mack left the village soon after but found everything out through his sister Moira as the siblings hatched a plan to make Charity pay.
Eventually, the pair rekindled their strong bond as Noah Dingle faced prison for harassing and terrorising Chloe Harris.
Could Mack’s infidelity be the beginning of the end?
Emmerdale airs from Monday to Friday on ITV.
