Caleb was introduced as Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) long lost brother when he first arrived in September last year.
It is evident that the pair have clearly had a fractious relationship from the get go due to what happened in their past.
Since then, he has adapted to village life and assisted the Dingles in covering Kyle’s legal fees.
He has also teamed up with Kim Tate (Claire King) on a horse breeding programme at Home Farm.
The producers of the ITV soap have announced that Caleb has been keeping a huge secret and is not who he claimed to be.
The revelation will occur next week in explosive scenes that will undoubtedly have fans on the edge of their seats.
But what has Emmerdale hinted at that tells us Caleb isn’t who he says he is?
His secret definitely relates to his work with the farm as he was previously seen chatting to Cain about his future plans for the farm and what that might mean for Kim and her husband Will Taylor.
Back in February, after realising Cain was behind one of the horses ‘escaping’, the pair sat down for a pint at the Woolpack where Caleb told his brother: “See I pick my battles, and that way I always win.”
Also in February, Caleb was seen making a mysterious phone call to someone in the car.
Fans have conspired it could be Jamie Tate or even Joe Tate.
Others think Nicky and Caleb could be father or son whilst others think they’re working together to secure the future of Home Farm for themselves and away from Kim, Will and Gabby.
Caleb said his reason for arriving was to find out more about his mother Faith – who died of cancer.
This is why he visited his brother Cain in prison looking for answers.
But now he knows what happened to his mum – why is he sticking around?
Fans think there must be another reason why he’s there.
His motive for being in the village and what he’s hiding will all be revealed next week.
