She will be appearing in the movie Lioness
Stepping away from life as a serial killer, she will next portray the role of Princess Sophia Duleep Singh in upcoming movie Lioness, a prominent member of the suffragette’s movement in the UK.
The project was confirmed in Cannes earlier this week with Paige, 25, heading up the movie’s cast.
Confirming her involvement on Instagram, Paige made a lengthy post on her gratitude for being chosen to play the important role.
The star said: “I am so incredibly humbled and honoured to be announcing #Lioness.
“To say this part, this story, this cast & crew is a dream come true would be doing it a disservice – I am so blown away by this incredible story and cannot wait for the world to learn about Princess Sophia Duleep Singh.”
She later claimed the role was a “dream come true,” penning: “Oh go on, I am going to say it! It is a dream come true!”
Her character Sophia campaigned for women to be able to vote in the UK and the film aims to shine a spotlight on her incredible campaigning work.
Her father Maharaja Sir Duleep Singh lost his Sikh empire and settled in the UK after being exiled.
It was here that Sophie met Queen Victoria who took a shine to her and became her godmother.
Queen Victoria later encouraged her to become a socialite.
Paige became a household name after appearing as Meena Jutla in September 2020 in the ITV soap.
She became central to the show’s major plots over the next two years and was credited as being one of the reasons behind the show’s ratings increase.
She later picked up a Soap Award for her work on the show.
