1. Police question Charlie and Leah

Vicky’s recent accident is still fresh in the minds of many villagers this week but the truth may be soon be exposed.

After reading an article about a county lines gang, Scott Drinkwell (portrayed by Ross Adams) tells Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) that he suspects Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) was involved in foster daughter Vicky’s drug overdose.

Channel 4 viewers will remember that Scott is thinking correctly but there’s more to the story as Leah Barnes (Elá-May Melek Demircan) was also involved.

Meanwhile, after smoking cannabis, Charlie is trying to hide his intoxication from his family, whilst Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) is doing her best to make it up to him.

But Scott can’t keep his reasoning to himself and decides to confront the lad – only making matters worse.

A paranoid Charlie doesn’t want to keep the secret anymore, but Leah refuses to come clean.

As the investigation into Vicky’s spiking continues, a secret tip-off gives police officers Sam Chen-Williams and Zoe Anderson the evidence.

Soon enough, Leah and Charlie are taken into questioning.

2. Leela has a new love interest

Elsewhere in Chester, romance could be in the cards for Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter).

At the gym, Leela is flirting with Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) and accidently sets off the fire alarm.

In later scenes, Leela advertises for a new roommate and Donna-Marie discusses her most recent date with new love interest Greg.

She then urges Leela to get back into the dating scene.

Joel quickly appears, looking for a room – could this be a new shot at love for Leela?

Will Sally have to turn away from Hollyoaks High?

3. Sally’s future is in jeopardy

Sally St Claire (Annie Wallace) has been trying to save both her job and Hollyoaks High but will her hard work pay off?

This week, she offers some kind words to Leah and Charlie, unknowing that the governor is also listening.

Will it bring her trouble or praise?

Later on, in a meeting with the governor, Sally finally receives an answer on the future of her job as headmistress, finding out once and for all if she’s been able to turn things around.

But she may need more help than anticipated.

In later scenes, Goldie McQueen (Chelsee Healey) stages a protest alongside Hunter and Mercedes.

Goldie comes up with a plan for extra cash

4. The McQueens are back in business

Speaking of Goldie, the beloved character will have a busy week as she turns to some old tricks to make more cash for her family.

Aware they have to be careful with their finances, the McQueens brainstorm “creative” ways to make money.

This prompts Goldie to dig out an old relic to help her with her scheme.

It’s soon revealed that she has managed to set up up a lucrative pop-up shop.

A proud Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) decides to help Goldie’s business but when he flogs their goods to the wrong villager, mother and son are forced to take quick action to get it back.

Warren isn’t happy about Mercedes’ relationship with Felix

5. Warren has an offer for Mercedes

At the garage, Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) offers a gift to smooth things over with his son DeMarcus when the lad catches wind of his new relationship with Mercedes McQueen.

When an upsetting discovery sets them back, a concerned DeMarcus turns to Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) for help, so Warren makes Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) an enticing offer

Could it backfire?
