Mark Smith, known for his roles as Rhino on Gladiators and his appearances on EastEnders, is making a career change and stepping into the boxing ring. The 54-year-old will face off against GB News panellist Adam Brooks on KSI's Misfits Boxing 011 card.
Not His First Choice
Before the fight, Smith revealed that his first choice opponent was John Fury, the father of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and ex-Love Island star Tommy Fury. However, the fight couldn't happen as Smith was deemed too heavy for John Fury by Misfits' co-president Mams Taylor.
Excitement for Influencer Boxing Debut
Despite not getting his desired match-up, Smith is still extremely excited for his influencer boxing debut. Speaking on talkSPORT, he expressed his enthusiasm for Misfits Boxing and the huge following that KSI has. Smith has worked hard to prepare for the fight, dropping to his lowest body weight in 37 years.
Preparation and Strategy
Smith has a plan in place to take on Adam Brooks, who won a charity fight against Bachir Fakhouri in September. Regardless of how Brooks approaches the fight, whether it's coming out swinging or opting for a more strategic boxing approach, Smith is prepared for either scenario. Despite not having seen much footage of Brooks, Smith is confident in his training and readiness.
