GOOD Morning Britain fans were left in hysterics after Richard Arnold made a huge Emmerdale blunder this morning.

The journalist, who is the entertainment editor for GMB, was live in the Yorkshire Dales at the ITV soap’s set to give viewers some juicy spoilers.

Good Morning Britain fans all said the same thing when Richard Arnold was at the Emmerdale set today

Mark has played Marlon Dingle since 1996

As he walked past the Woolpack, Richard told viewers: “We’re counting down the landmark 50th anniversary this October but we have many more reasons to celebrate this morning as the National Television Award nominations are in…

“I’ll be celebrating with Emmerdale legend Marlon Dingo AKA Mark Charnock after the break!”

Many watching were quick to point out that he had pronounced Mark’s alter-ego’s name wrong as he is actually called Marlon Dingle.

One said: “Who the f*** is Marlon Dingo?? #GMB.”

A second questioned: “@GMB Marlon Dingo?”

A third chimed in: “Is it me or did @RichardAArnold just say he would be talking to MarlonDingo?”

“Watching GMB on +1 did he really just call him MarlonDingo,” a fourth added.

Marlon first made an appearance in the village back in 1996.

The Woolpack chef has become a huge fan favourite over the years and viewers have been in tears over his recent storyline.

He suffered a stroke earlier this year and hasn’t been able to walk since.

But earlier this month Marlon walked down the aisle to marry Rhona Goskirk despite being rushed to hospital the night before.

Emmerdale have teased drama ahead for their 50th anniversary celebrations in October.

Mark said: “Assume the worst is the best way of going forward and that keeps you on your toes as you always have to keep trying your best.

“And never take it for granted because it’s been a wonderful job. I remember the 40th anniversary like it was yesterday, that decade has gone like lightning.”
