HOLLYOAKS star Ruby O’Donnell has revealed her grandmother has died.
The 22-year-old actress, who plays Peri Lomax in the Channel 4 soap, told fans of the loss on Instagram tonight.

Taking to her account, Ruby shared three sweet snaps of her with her grandma.
In the caption, Ruby wrote: “Today was about celebrating the beautiful life you created. I’ll miss you forever Grandma xx.”
Ruby’s followers were quick to offer their condolences on their friend’s sad loss.
One wrote: “Sorry for your loss. She would be so proud of you xx.”
While another said: “So sorry for your loss Ruby. Thinking of you and your family.”
And a third commented: “Big hugs to you and your family darling.”
Ruby first joined Hollyoaks as Peri Lomax in 2013. Her character has lived through a number of battles including a teen pregnancy and homelessness. She also discovered that her older sister Leela was in fact her mum.
The character is currently part of the soap’s hard hitting storyline in which her on screen girlfriend Juliet Nightingale is battling cancer.
In scenes aired earlier this month the loved-up duo enjoyed a romantic trip to Brighton.
Peri had planned to propose to her girlfriend on the trip but Juliet refused because she felt her illness was playing a major factor in the engagement.
Instead, she said: “Who needs a wedding when we’ve got Brighton? “We might not be married or even engaged, but I call upon these seagulls here present to witness that I, Juliet, take thee, Peri, to be the one that I want to spend the rest of my days with.”
