Beloved Soap Star Set to Make Comeback for Christmas Episode

Joe Swash, known for his role as Mickey Miller on EastEnders over a decade ago, has ignited speculation that he may be considering a return to the hit soap. The 41-year-old is reportedly set to make a comeback to Walford for a special episode this Christmas, although not reprising his role as Mickey.

A Host of Walford Legends

Instead of playing Mickey, Swash will be hosting a show that features other iconic characters from EastEnders. His portrayal of the beloved Mickey spanned five years from 2003 to 2008, with a brief return in 2011. Speaking to The Mirror, Swash expressed his fondness for the show, stating, "It’s really nice. You know, it’s nice to still have a relationship with EastEnders after all these years, which I really like."

Nostalgia and Fond Memories

Swash also shared his nostalgia when returning to the EastEnders set, saying, "It’s exactly the same, the same carpet, same doors. So I do get really nostalgic when I go back there. I was 21 when I did that show. So much has happened since then. It’s a part of me, it’s something that’s a part of my past."

Uncertain Future

When asked about the possibility of Mickey returning to EastEnders in the future, Swash admitted that he doesn't have much control over the decision. He jokingly added, "They bring people back from the dead, so if they really wanted me, they know where I am." As fans eagerly await the Christmas episode, it remains to be seen what surprises are in store for viewers.

Family Life

Aside from his potential return to EastEnders, Swash is happily married to Stacey Solomon. The couple shares a blended family of six children, adding to the joy in their lives.
