The Underworld employee portrayed by soap legend Tina O’Brien confessed she’d cheated on her husband Adam Barlow in recent weeks.
Incandescent with rage, Adam (played by Sam Robertson) confronted Damon Hay in the Bistro before storming out, vowing bloody revenge.
Things took another nasty turn when Sarah announced she was pregnant and she has no clue who the father could be.
Determined to get Damon out of their lives for good, the solicitor turned to Niall, a notorious Weatherfield gangster, and told him his rival was planning on grassing him up to the police.
Damon fled the cobbles out of fear for his life, knowing Niall would be out for blood after Adam’s involvement – but he left Sarah one last message before vanishing.
Coming up next week on ITV, Adam is terrified that his evil plan may have worked when Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) shows him the Gazette by stating one of the brothers Damon was involved with had been arrested for the murder of a local gangster.
Adam pales, worried the victim might be Damon and his fear leads him to take desperate action.
Meanwhile, Josie, newcomer Owen’s boss, is blown away by Sarah’s Nippersnapper pitch and confirms that she’s happy to sign the contract.
Sarah is thrilled but her good mood is short-lived when, at home, she finds Adam scrolling through her phone.
A flustered Adam tells her he needs to know if she’s heard from Damon as he’s done something really stupid.
He confesses how he wanted Damon out of their lives and spoke to a dangerous gangster but now, Damon could be dead.
Soon after, Sarah tells Adam she’s bleeding and is scared of losing the baby.
At the hospital, Adam holds Sarah’s hand as she has a scan – but what will be the result of it?
