SHAYNE Ward has postponed his wedding to fiancee Sophie Austin because of the coronavirus crisis – saying they’re in “no rush”.
The 35-year-old X Factor and Coronation Street star opened up to Lorraine Kelly after she asked about him putting their big day on hold.
He joked: “Don’t tell Sophie. No, literally we spoke about it and that was what was nice about it.
“Everything can wait, there is no rush and we can definitely do this next year, but we’re together for life and that is the main thing, we’re together regardless.”
The pair got engaged in 2017 and have a young three-year-old daughter called Willow together.
The former Corrie actor and his Hollyoaks star partner transformed their bodies last year after taking up intense workouts and cooking from scratch.
Speaking earlier this year – also to Lorraine – he said he’d worked off more than three stone since exiting the soap, saying his fiancee had done the same.
He explained: “Sophie is doing it with me. She cooks fresh food every single day, I’ve lost over three and a half, she’s lost three stone.”
As host Lorraine gasped in shock, Shayne continued: “A lot of it is common sense and food. It’s very easy to fall into the trap.”
