In the past year, Ravi Gulati (played by Aaron Thiara) killed Ranveer after knocking him unconscious, while Suki believed she was responsible for his death.
Ravi was able to escape justice with the help of his son Kheerat, who took the blame for the murder.
However, Ravi's world is about to crumble when Denise Fox helps Suki realize that she never actually committed the crime.
Suki convinces Denise to give a statement against Ravi, despite her daughter Chelsea's objections.
The incriminating video found on Ravi's laptop clearly shows him finishing off Ranveer while Suki was unaware of what was happening in the room, thinking she had killed him.
Complications arise for Chelsea
Chelsea, who was romantically involved with Ravi, has a hard time coming to terms with the truth.
But despite their efforts, Denise and Suki are dismissed by the authorities due to lack of physical evidence and Suki's previous failed statement.
Denise decides to cut her ties with the Panesars, but Suki has another plan up her sleeve – secretly recording Ravi's confession.
Suki meets Ravi in The Albert to secretly record his confession, but an inconvenient phone call interrupts her.
In the midst of all this, Ravi threatens to harm Suki's family if she doesn't keep quiet.
Suki begs Denise for help in putting Ravi away for good, but Denise fears for her family's safety and refuses.
Ravi senses that something is amiss with his son Nugget, attributing it to typical teenage behavior after a heart-to-heart with Zack Hudson.

Ravi is one of the potential victims in the upcoming Christmas murder mystery, as teased in a flashforward scene earlier this year.
