DRAMA continues to unfold this week in the Dales and is bound to leave viewers at the edge of their seats.

Here’s our most explosive theories for what’s to come this week in Emmerdale.

Someone is creeping up on Leyla Harding – could it be Callum?

The wedding planner gets closer to Caleb this week

And he takes drastic action to protect her

1. Caleb will murder Callum

Months after calling time on her marriage with Liam Cavanagh, Leyla Harding gets a new love interest in the form of Caleb Milligan.

ITV viewers have suspected the pair could get closer as they couldn’t help but spot the chemistry between them during their first encounter.

Unfortunately for Leyla, drug dealer Callum (portrayed by Tom Ashley) is back on the loose and he’s hellbent on teaching the wedding planner a lesson this week.

It all begins when Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) flirts with Caleb (Will Ash) before inviting him in for coffee.

News quickly spreads around the eponymous village after they spend the night together.

Later on, from a distance, someone is watching Leyla’s every move and a horrific stalking ordeal begins.

Things begin to get hot and heavy between Caleb and Leyla, who are unaware a hooded figure is watching them.

The following day, the mystery person watches Leyla from a car window, prompting Caleb to offer to check in on her.

However, Leyla refuses to let Callum scare her.

In later scenes, Caleb shows what he’s capable of when he creeps up on a mystery individual right behind Leyla outside the Village Hall.

Could it be Callum?

Will Caleb’s actions have a mortal outcome?

If such is the case, could Leyla help him cover his tracks?

Could Charles be blamed for Alex’s hit and run?

2. Charles will go to prison

Village vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) will be facing Moore trouble in the aftermath of Alex’s (Liam Boyle) hit and run.

In scenes due to air this week, Alex Moore’s girlfriend Naomi Walters (Karene Peter) is devastated but her shock only grows when an emotional Clare reveals the truth behind his plan.

To make matters worse for Naomi, Charles is the primary suspect in Alex’s accident and she struggles to believe he’s innocent as his son Ethan comforts him after an intense night of questioning.

The vicar has made it clear he has never trusted Alex from day one and believed his daughter shouldn’t be involved with him.

Charles is beset with worry over the police investigation when a hungover Naomi arrives and tells him she knows the truth about Alex.

Charles holds his broken daughter, letting his protective streak take the reigns.

Later on, Charles is escorted to a waiting police car for more questioning and he’s left reeling when DS Raveley tells him that he could face a murder charge on top of the hit and run if Alex succumbed to his injuries.

A frustrated Charles lashes out in the interview room and hangs his head knowing he’s made things worse for himself.

Could Charles be sent to prison?

Will Alex survive the hit and run?

Is Charles really the one to blame?

Could Rhona embark on an intense feud with her former husband Gus?

3. Rhona will wage war on Gus

One year after finding out her rapist and murderer ex-husband Pierce Harris passed away, Rhona Goskirk faces another one of her former flames this week.

And judging by their upcoming encounter, the former spouses will be going head to head in what could be an explosive feud over frozen embryos.

Marlon Dingle has had a difficult path to a full recovery but the beloved chef played by Mark Charnock is definitely on the mend.

He’s most notably been able to get the support of his wife, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry).

However, the vet will be the one in need of support this week.

It all begins when Marlon rushes to make his lunch date with Rhona but they’re interrupted by the surprise arrival of her ex-husband.

She plans a proper catch-up with Gus (Alan McKenna) the following day but soon regrets it.

Gus unburdens to an uncomfortable Rhona and she’s left stunned and confused when he reveals he’d like to use one of their frozen embryos which were stored in deep freeze at an IVF clinic.

This is due to the fact that Rhona believed they had all been destroyed following their marriage.

Rhona is shocked and horrified by his demand but this only gets worse when she finds out what he’s been doing behind her back.

She learns Gus has been in touch with the clinic and acting on her behalf without her knowledge.

Rhona is left with an impossible choice – what will she decide or do against Gus?

Could Marlon get involved?

Will Gus continue to act in Rhona’s name without her consent?
