CALEB Milligan is walking on thin ice this week after getting caught by Kim Tate.

The Emmerdale schemer’s life hangs in the balance as somebody seeks revenge – but could it be a group effort?

Caleb is in danger this week

He’s made many enemies in the Dales

Could the Dingles be planning something big?

1. Villagers team up in murder plot

Caleb Milligan (portrayed by Will Ash) arrived in the ITV village with a mission to make Kim Tate pay for his father Frank’s death and take all the family millions.

In an attempt to make things run smoothly, he pushed his own son Nicky (Lewis Cope) into taking part in his plan.

Moira Dingle even became collateral damage when Caleb managed to sabotage her business and convince her to sell her farm to Kim Tate.

Unfortunately, the schemer’s plan was interrupted when his true intentions came to light.

As a result, Caleb has made many enemies in the eponymous village, all of which could retaliate.

This week, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is seething to find out Caleb’s taken up residence in the B&B.

Eager to prevent a fight and stop his father from getting into more trouble, Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) suggests they let the family decide Caleb’s fate.

That same afternoon, the Dingle Court convenes to debate Caleb – Belle, Cain, Charity, Chas, Moira, Nate, Noah, Sam, Zak.

The court is thrown on its head when the defendant himself makes a surprise appearance, resolute he’s staying in the village.

Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) is left on her own to deter Cain from revenge the following day.

Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), on the other hand, rejects Caleb when he tries to apologise.

However, he soon finds comfort in a lonely Charity Dingle who is gutted to see Mackenzie Boyd and Chloe Harris getting close.

The Woolpack landlady (Emma Atkins) offers him a drink and, before long, they bond over wine and find solace in each other.

Later on, Charity and Caleb agree to keep their night together a secret.

But things only get worse from there for Caleb.

After a tense altercation with a humiliated Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), Caleb invites Leyla to lunch in the pub.

Just as Leyla begins to forgive him, a bust up between Charity and Mackenzie leads to the shock revelation that Caleb spent the night with Charity and the information captures the attention of the entire pub.

A jealous Mack squares up to Caleb and all hell breaks loose.

Once home, Gabby’s upset after her run in with Caleb and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) simmers with anger on her behalf.

Cain’s unimpressed to hear what Charity has done and an altercation ensues as Caleb goads Cain.

Moira and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) pull Cain away but the tough man isn’t the only villager who wants to throw punches at Caleb.

A while later, Caleb further enrages Mack (Lawrence Robb), who only came to apologise for yesterday.

Burning with fury, Mack ominously assures him there will be consequences.

Will is still seething at Caleb whilst David reassures Leyla as he does his utmost to prevent Leyla from relapsing, promising there will be an opportunity for them to watch Caleb’s comeuppance from the side-lines.

That afternoon, the villagers all unite against Caleb during a tense altercation in the pub.

Squaring up to them all Caleb takes verbal pot shots at each of them.

Exasperated with the spectacle, Chas throws him out whilst the others glare bloody murder.

Caleb walks away but unbeknownst to him, a mystery figure follows his every move.

That evening, out on a woodland ridge, Caleb’s blindsided when the unknown figure rushes out and pushes him over the edge.

His lifeless body sprawls on the ground below while, back in the village, a number of suspicious characters all return from mysterious outings.

Many villagers have a motive for pushing Caleb to his death which begs the question – could the Dingles team up with other villagers to bring him comeuppance?

Fans were stunned when Kim Tate (Claire King) revealed she knew what Caleb was up to alongside long-term foe Cain.

Many are theorising the pair could band together for a dark revenge plot against Caleb.

While this could be the case, a handful of viewers are expecting Caleb’s son Nicky or even his lover Ally to take action, alone or as a duo.

Will any of them be proven right?

Chloe gives Mackenzie an ultimatum

2. New happy family

Charity Dingle decided to file for divorce from Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) after learning that he was the father of Chloe Harris’ baby.

While he was against Charity’s decision to end their marriage, Mack begrudgingly decided to move on in his own way – by focusing on his new-born son Reuben.

Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) thus decided to include the heartthrob in the tot’s life… and romantic feelings have been slowly growing ever since.

However, Mack has been reluctant to truly commit to a family life with Chloe and Reuben.

Coming up, Mack continues to assure Chloe he’s over Charity.

But she’s conflicted when he asks to spend the day with her.

Feelings bubble as Mackenzie and Chloe return from their day trip and the pair head upstairs.

The following day, when Mack appears keen to embrace their situation, Chloe does her best to disguise her delight.

Things take a turn when Chloe’s frustrated to see Mack is reluctant to tell Charity about their new relationship.

Yet a bombshell could change everything for the pair.

There’s pandemonium in the Woolpack after a lonely Charity reveals she slept with Caleb Milligan.

Jealous and upset, Mack squares up to Caleb, leaving Chloe hurt by his reaction.

Tired of the uncertainty, she offers him an ultimatum – he has to pick between her and Charity.

With Charity determined to forget all about Mack and his bond with Chloe becoming more serious, viewers are suspecting the hunk will choose to move on and give things a go with his own family.

But will Mackenzie’s commitment to Chloe be genuine?

Could Rishi get a new housemate?

3. Strange Rishi set-up

Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) was devastated when his wife Manpreet walked out on him for Emmerdale vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin).

However, in recent scenes, viewers were surprised when both men seemed to have put the past behind them as they were engaged in a friendly conversation earlier last week.

“Charles and Rishi having a friendly chat, they have Manpreet in common, dumping Rishi for Charles, still strange friends”, one viewer commented.

Charles recently had to welcome his overbearing mother Claudette (Flo Wilson) into his home after she revealed she had nowhere else to go.

This has brought soap viewers to the conclusion that Charles could suggests his mother as a new housemate for lonely Rishi.

“They’re gonna pair Charles’ mother with Rishi huh”, one fan commented.

Another immediately jumped in, dreading what Claudette could do to Rishi: “Is Charles going to suggest that Claudette moves in with Rishi? As if that poor man deserves that!”

Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
