The Underworld factory employee has been absent from her daughter Miley’s life.
Fans of the Manchester-based ITV soap will recall that Miley was taken by her father Jackson’s family to Canada soon after she was born when Faye as a teen.
However, and as predicted by some viewers following Faye’s early menopause diagnosis, Jackson recently reached out to the character played by Ellie Leach, leaving her at a loss.
Fearing Miley’s reappearance in her life may leave more shaken than ever, Faye refused to see her own daughter.
But Corrie cabbie Tim (Joe Duttine) wants a relationship with his granddaughter and schemes behind Faye’s back to see Miley.
It all begins when Faye heads out for the day with her partner Craig Tinker.
Meanwhile, Tim’s wife Sally (Sally Dynevor) tells him that he’s playing with fire by welcoming Jackson and Miley in without Faye’s knowledge.
All goes well until Miley recognises Eliza and the pair catch up on the Street – just as Craig and Faye pull up in a cab.
Tim’s heart sinks but how will Faye react?
What will she do when she sees Miley and Jackson?
In later scenes, she turns to her father for a heart-to-heart and Tim tries to talk sense into her.
He points out that if she passes up the opportunity to get to know her daughter, she may regret it for the rest of her life.
But will Faye actually listen to what he has to say?
Could she bond with Miley and, eventually, become more involved in her life?
As mentioned above, Faye was shocked when she learned she was going through an early menopause as she initially thought she was pregnant.
Sad about not being able to build a family with Craig, she was then at loggerheads with her partner when he told her he wasn’t ready to welcome any babies.
The storyline, aired in 2022, left fans of the program wondering – what if Faye’s menopause could push her to make contact with Miley?
Will she have the family she’s been dreaming of?
The door could be left open for her as Tim Metcalfe found out through Jackson, behind Faye’s back, that him and Miley had moved back to the UK, which prompted the cab driver to take action in the first place.
