BELOVED Weatherfield mechanic Tyrone Dobbs has tried to keep on top of things alone at home.
But help is on its way to Coronation Street next week with two big returns… and a shocking discovery.

But his grandmother Evelyn Plummer finally returns to Weatherfield next week
And she’s not alone
Alan Halsall’s on-screen alter ego was first anxious when his wife Fiz left Corrie for Norwich earlier this year for a new job opportunity.
However, the mechanic was able to rely on his grandmother Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) to lead things at home.
Unfortunately for him, Evelyn abruptly left after a long-forgotten friend named Cath paid her a visit in the Street.
At the time of her departure, Evelyn made it clear she had no idea when she would be back.
But he has no clue Evelyn left the cobbles to help her daughter and Tyrone’s long-lost mother Cassandra (Claire Sweeney) get sober.
Coming up next week on ITV, a hopeful Tyrone leaves a message for Evelyn letting her know it is the girls’ show today at the Bistro and they would love her support.
It’s later on very clear that Evelyn and Cassie are back and there to stay as, over at the precinct, the pair of women move into a rented flat.
Evelyn gets Tyrone’s message soon after but she tells Cassie she won’t be going as she can’t leave her on her own out of fear she will relapse behind her back.
But Cassie has other ideas and convinces Evelyn to let her go out to grab a coffee as she has been clean for weeks and is bored.
When Evelyn spots her purse is missing she fears the worst – could Cassie be up to her old tricks?
Meanwhile Cassie has arrived at the Bistro where Tyrone recognises her as Cath and wonders if she’s heard anything from Evelyn.
A breathless Evelyn hurries into the Bistro, just in time to hear Cassie reveal to Tyrone that she’s his mother.
How will Tyrone react?
Regular viewers of the Mancunian soap will know that Tyrone grew up believing his mother was dead.
Cassie came back from the dead for Evelyn to find her in hospital following an overdose and it was revealed that she had kept away from Tyrone due to her addiction issues.
Evelyn refused to send Cassie back to rehab but agreed to leave Weatherfield with her and be by her side as she went through withdrawal.
Knowing Cassie was keen to get to know Tyrone, Evelyn only agreed to introduce her to him if she was sober and keeping her word to never touch drugs again.
But will everything go according to plan?
