Steve McDonald is a long-standing resident of Coronation Street after arriving on the cobbles in 1989.
He is the husband of Tracy Barlow, father of Amy and Emma and co-owner of Street Cars.
But the unlikely Lothario has actually been married a whopping FIVE times.
Over the years the hapless character has manged to walk down the aisle many times, which each wife different to the next.
Vicky Arden
Vicky Arden was Steve’s first wife
Vicky Arden, played by Chloe Newsome, was Steve’s first wife.
They were married from 1995-1997.
She left school at 16 and bought into Steve’s T-shirt printing company Dun 2 A T.
They separated after Vicky testified against Steve in court for handling stolen whisky and perverting the course of justice.
Karen Phillips
Karen Phillips was married to Steve twice
Karen Phillips, played by Suranne Jones, arrived in Weatherfield in 2000.
She was married to Steve twice – from 2001-2003 and 2004-2006.
During the year they were apart Steve got Tracy Barlow pregnant with their daughter Amy.
Karen had a long running feud with Tracy Barlow who ruined her second wedding to Steve by revealing that he was Amy’s father.
Becky Granger
Becky was too drunk to get married at the first attempt
Becky Granger, played by Katherine Kelly, was married to Steve from 2009-2011.
On the day of the their wedding Becky was so drunk that they had to postpone the ceremony.
After two miscarriages Becky realised she wasn’t able to have children.
Following the divorce she left the soap and moved to Barbados with her new fiancé Danny Stratton.
Michelle Connor
Kym Marsh’s Michelle Connor is also an ex-wife of Steve McDonald
Michelle Connor, played by Kym Marsh, was married to Steve from 2015-2017.
They had a son together, Ruairi, but he was born prematurely and did not survive.
They split after Steve confessed to fathering a son, Oliver, after a one-night stand with Leanne Battersby who he also drunkenly proposed to.
Tracy Barlow
Tracy Barlow is Steve’s wife for the second time
Tracy Barlow, played by Kate Ford, is the mother of Steve’s daughter Amy.
After a one-night stand in 2011, Tracy became pregnant with twins and they got engaged.
After falling down the stairs Tracy had a miscarriage but put the blame on Becky claiming that she’d pushed her.
Becky revealed that Tracy had lied at Steve and Tracy’s wedding in 2012 when she provided the proof of her medical records – they soon divorced.
In 2017 Steve and Tracy got back together at Christmas and remarried on October, 8, 2018.
