THE BBC has refused to change the filming of Strictly Come Dancing to try to foil spoilers revealing which star is given the boot.

Bosses claim it would be too costly to produce live shows on the Saturday and Sunday nights to frustrate killjoy David Thorp who plagues the programme.

Killjoy David Thorp revealed Matt Goss was the third celeb to be ditched this series after his dance-off with Kym Marsh

The judges agreed Kym and professional partner Graziano Di Prima’s Samba was better than Matt’s jive with Nadiya Bychkova

He tweets the ousted dancer’s identity to his 50,000 followers on the Strictly Spoilers website on the Saturday night.

He revealed Bros star Matt Goss, 54, was the third celeb to be ditched this series after his dance-off with Kym Marsh, 46.

The judges agreed Kym and professional partner Graziano Di Prima’s Samba was better than Matt’s jive with Nadiya Bychkova.

Audience members are sworn to secrecy and it is unclear how the information reaches Mr Thorp.

He has vowed to continue exposing the secret until the results show, which is pre-recorded after Saturday’s live show, is itself recorded live on Sunday.

Strictly followed that pattern until 2008 when it was changed because then-host Bruce Forsyth, who was 80 at the time, was struggling to host a show both nights.

A TV insider said: “Some people have said the BBC should consider filming two live shows — one on Saturday and one on Sunday — but doing that would cost huge amounts of money.

“Others have suggested that the results show should air directly after the main show, but that denies fans the chance of two helpings of their favourite programme over consecutive nights.

“The lesser of the evils is simply to ignore any online chatter about who is in the dance off and who has been sent home. Or just ignore social media as much as possible.

“If they take any more radical action then the spoilsport in question has gained some kind of response to their selfish and mean behaviour.”
