Jeff Brazier, father of Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier, is reportedly considering joining the hit show following his son's successful run. Bobby, who is paired with Dianne Buswell for this year's series, has received immense support from his father throughout his time on the show. Now, insiders reveal that Jeff himself wants a chance to compete on Strictly.
A change of heart
A source close to Jeff told the Mirror that he has previously turned down offers to participate in the show. However, witnessing Bobby's journey and the positive impact it has had on him has made Jeff reconsider. "As Bobby's dad, Jeff has had a front row seat to everything he has been through and how transformative it has been for him," the source shared.
Familial tensions
While Bobby has been making waves on Strictly, he has also faced a family feud that has affected his experience on the show. Jackiey Budden, Bobby's grandmother and the mother of the late Jade Goody, claims that she has been unable to watch her grandson perform live due to a falling out with Jeff several years ago. Despite this, she has been supporting Bobby from home and admires the routine he dedicated to his mother, Jade Goody, who passed away from cervical cancer in 2009.
