Ubisoft announces beta test for long-awaited game Skull and Bones

After a decade in development, Ubisoft has finally revealed that a closed beta test for its highly anticipated game Skull and Bones will be available for PC gamers.

Fans excited to dive into the huge open world

Following the success of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, Ubisoft promised to give players the experience of sailing the high seas with added multiplayer action. This promise evolved into the creation of Skull and Bones, a standalone project that has captured the excitement of fans.

A long and delayed journey

Skull and Bones has been in development since 2013 but was officially announced in 2017 with the initial plan to release it in 2018. However, the game has faced multiple delays over the years, sparking curiosity among gamers about its progress.

Closed beta test offers a glimpse into the game

From Friday, August 25, 2023, until Monday, August 28, 2023, PC gamers will have the opportunity to participate in a closed beta for Skull and Bones. To access the beta, players must sign up for the Ubisoft Insider Program and then register for the Skull and Bones beta.

Get rewarded for trying out the beta

Although the beta is technically open to anyone, participation is by invitation only. Those who sign up and are invited to the beta will receive in-game cosmetics as a reward. Players must keep an eye on their emails for their invitation link.
