A video game reminiscent of the Blair Witch Project has taken the internet by storm with its unique challenge – stay silent. The indie game, called Don't Scream, dares players to navigate through a chilling forest without making a peep for 18 minutes.
A Hair-Raising Challenge
The game requires players to have their PC microphone on at all times, ensuring that any sound they make is picked up. If a player makes even the slightest noise, they must start over from the beginning. The clock starts ticking only when the player moves, leaving no room for respite from the horrors lurking within.
Unpredictable Scares
Don't Scream keeps players on the edge of their seats by presenting them with different scares each time they play. The game's entire atmosphere is enhanced by a 90s camcorder style effect, reminiscent of the cult classic film, The Blair Witch Project.
The Perfect Halloween Experience
Created by independent developers Joure and Joe, Don't Scream promises to be the ultimate game for scaring friends and family. The developers explain that even the tiniest squeak or quiet gasp will be counted as a scream, triggering a restart. The game is set to be released on October 27, just in time for Halloween.
