FORTNITE superstar streamer Ninja has returned to Twitch – after binning the popular app a year ago.
Ninja previously abandoned Twitch after complaining about poor treatment, before accepting a $20-30million offer from Microsoft’s rival app.
The smash-hit streamer moved over to Microsoft’s Mixer, immediately becoming the app’s biggest star.
But Microsoft closed down Mixer earlier this year, leaving Ninja to reconsider his options.
Now Ninja is back on Twitch, tweeting that it marked “a new chapter”.
Amazon-owned Twitch also tweeted at Ninja, saying “to new beginnings”.
It’s unclear what the terms of the deal are, but it’s believed to be a multi-year partnership.
Typically streaming services pay huge sums of money for top names, so Ninja likely benefitted significantly from the deal.
Before it closed, Microsoft’s Mixer was fairly successful – though it still paled compared to Twitch.
Microsoft announced it was shutting down in June, and began promoting Facebook Gaming as an alternative.
