LORD of the Rings: Gollum has appeared online in its entirety days before release.

While fans have eagerly awaited the game that was originally set to be released in 2021, some people have their hands on it early.

You can choose to follow the path of Gollum or Sméagol.

It’s unknown how they were able to play before the game’s release on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

Some of these people have then been uploading the entirety of their playthrough to sites such as YouTube.

Clips from these videos have then been shared on other social media sites such as Reddit and gaming forums like Resetera.

This is disappointing for a number of fans who have been patiently waiting for years for the game’s release.

While YouTube has been taking down the videos, some have remained online for several hours before removal.

The story of Gollum is a choices matter game where you choose to follow the path of Gollum or Sméagol.

It will heavily feature stealth gameplay as Gollum sneaks around Middle-Earth and engages in combat.

While this has been shown in trailers, many wanted to keep the bulk of the gameplay a surprise for when they can play for themselves.

As with all spoilers, we recommend muting words such as ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘Gollum’ on your social media pages.

It might also be a good idea to not visit sites such as YouTube, until you have a chance to play for yourself.

There’s not long to wait until Gollum officially releases with the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC versions releasing tomorrow.

There is also a Nintendo Switch release planned for later this year, but there is no exact release date yet.
