MASKED Singer fans are convinced that Knitting is a huge 90s pop star after spotting a ‘clue.’
Fans of the show have taken to social media to share their thoughts on who is behind the mask.
And many have guessed it could well be 56-year-old singer Lisa Stansfield.
One person wrote: “Knitting is Lisa Stansfield,” while another said: “Knitting is Lisa Stansfield I think.”
A third said: “Lisa Stansfield is definitely Knitting,” and a fourth commented; “Yay Masked Singer is back, and knitting is definitely Lisa Stansfield.”
A fifth person added: “Knitting sounds like Lisa Stansfield lancs lass,” and someone else put: “There’s no doubt about it, knitting is Lisa Stansfield.”
And it’s not the first time people have said Lisa is hiding behind one of the Masked Singer characters.
Last year, people were quick to say that she star was disguised as Mushroom on the show, with even Jaime Winstone backing the theory.
Eventually, the cute fungi was revealed to be none another than singer Charlotte Church.
Lisa’s career began in 1980 when she won the singing competition Search for a Star.
After appearances in various television shows and releasing her first songs, she joined Ian Devaney and Andy Morris to form Blue Zone in 1984.
The band released several singles and one album, but after the success of People Hold On in 1989, Lisa decided to focus on her solo career.
Her first solo album, Affection (1989), and its worldwide chart-topping lead single, All Around the World, were major breakthroughs in her career.
She was nominated for two Grammy Awards and Affection is currently her best-selling album.
