FANS have been left convinced they have worked out who is behind the Fawn costume on The Masked Singer.

It’s the ITV guessing game that has viewers hooked each week and now eagle-eyed fans believe they have correctly identified who is Fawn.

Fans think they have rumbled Fawn
Sheridan has emerged as a frontrunner

Viewers of the hit show believe that TV supremo Sheridan Smith, 41, is the voice behind the mask and think they have unearthed the clues to support it.

Fawn had everyone scratching their heads when they made the declaration: “I’ve visited Wonderland, but my name isn’t Alice.”

But fans have pinned Sheridan’s name onto the clue after she was the voice of the BBC’s Alice in Wonderland audio book.

Sheridan narrated the BBC’s offering leading many to put two and two together.

Elsewhere, Fawn made reference to ‘Sandy’ during Saturday night’s show leading to fans to make another reference to Sheridan.

The actress once appeared in a BBC programme called Eyes Down where her character’s name was Sandy.

Viewers at home flocked to Twitter to declare their confidence that the leading actress was inside the costume.

Writing on Twitter, one fan said: “Fawn is Sheridan smith obvs theatre voice.”

Another added: “After looking at those clues again and re listening to Fawn’s performance, I am certain that it is Sheridan Smith.”

A third admitted they did think that Kym Marsh could be the culprit at first, but then settled on Sheridan: “Fawn gave me Kym Marsh vibes as well, it does sound like her. But I think that it’s Sheridan Smith because of the clues (but before the clues I was thinking Kym).”

As a fourth confidently said: “Fawn is Sheridan Smith.”
