IT’S the bizarre ITV singing show thats captivating imaginations and the heat is on to guess which celebrities are The Masked Singer.
The Masked Singer has got the nation guessing who is performing in those incredible costumes.
Here’s what’s happened so far.
Who do fans think are The Masked Singer?
The celebrities are shrouded in secrecy, leaving the TV studio in heavy disguise.
The audience must sign non-disclosure agreements and only a trusted handful of production staff know who the contestants are.
Fans will have to wait until the weekend for the next big reveal, but Twitter is alight with theories of The Masked Singers are
Monster
What we know: Monster is bright, bold and a BIG personality who has come to the UK from elsewhere, and although theyre not keen to blow their own trumpet theyve feasted on a lot of awards and couldnt wait to get into beast mode.
Theories: Judges guessed everyone from Jamie Foxx to Elton John.
But Twitter seemed positive the Tony Hadley fan was US singer Cee-Lo Green or grime clown Big Narstie.
Unicorn
Fans think Unicorn could be John Barrowman
What we know: Unicorn has always stood out from the crowd and been different, has flair and is a bit of a show pony.
Theories: Judges guessed the fabulous show pony could be Louie Spence or Adam Lambert and when Holly Willoughby confronted John Barrowman about being the Kate Bush-loving creature on Dancing On Ice he didnt deny it.
Queen Bee
What we know: Queen Bee started her career quite young and has always been a part of a wild card but now theyve grown up Im no longer a princess, she says. Im a queen
Theories: Theres a buzz around Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud or Charlotte Church and this insect sure can sing. The panel speculated on Charlie XCX, Kylie Minogue and Margot Robbie.
Octopus
What we know: Octopus is bubbly, happy-go-lucky and always on the go despite all her arms, shes equally leggy which comes in handy when making any pier her catwalk.
I love weight training she revealed.
Theories: Jodie Marsh has been bombarded with accusations thanks to a “weight training” reference, Catherine Tyldesley denied having tentacles, but the panel touted Cara Delevingne and Tyra Banks.
Fox
What we know: Fox is street smart, nosy and vocal and couldnt possibly say if they were a silver fox although they did feel like a bit of a rockstar in their outfit, and plans on rocking out during the competition.
They are a bit of a party animal, and can be found in the East End although they split their time between town and country.
Theories: Denise Van Outen is under suspicion of being The Fox because of her love of teapots and an “East End” reference.
Or maybe its Carol Vorderman or Sam Fox after all.
Hedgehog
What we know: Hedgehog is a workaholic and a homely creature whos most active at night hes more introverted than people might expect but very friendly and his natural habitat is the stage.
I once had a job that meant I died at 8.30 every night, he revealed.
Theories: Comedians Jack Whitehall, Eddie Izzard and Joe Lycett are all in the frame.
Twitters money is on Michael McIntyre or Jason Manford.
Duck
What we know: Duck describes herself as a real softie, although maybe you wouldnt think it she was also shy and quiet when she was younger. Ive always been sporty and like to push myself, Duck says. You might even catch me surfing from time to time.
Theories:: All Saints Melanie Blatt, Mel C and Paula Radcliffe are the panels choices, but viewers think the former long-distance runner is Denise Lewis.
Who’s already been revealed on The Masked Singer?
So far FIVE of the singers have been unmasked:
- Daisy was revealed to be American singer Kelis in episode five
- Tree unmasked as former West Ham legend Teddy Sheringham
- Chameleon unmasked as Justin Hawkins from The Darkness
- Butterfly unmasked as ex-EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer
- Pharaoh was unmasked as former Home Secretary Alan Johnson
Two more will be unmasked NEXT SATURDAY at 7pm.
