BRITS are set to enjoy another glorious weekend after last week’s record-setting summer scorcher – but showers could put a dampener on beach trips in a few areas.
While the sizzling heatwave that saw temperatures hit 40C has been and gone, sunbathers can still look forward to mostly sunny skies today and tomorrow.

To start the weekend, a cooler Saturday will see temperatures peak at 26C in London.
Much of the UK will sit around a warm but comfortable 20C, with Norwich and Southampton getting slightly hotter at 24C.
But sunbathers may be disappointed in the north as rain passing through Northern Ireland is expected to reach from Manchester to Glasgow.
Irish revellers will experience a chillier weekend, with temperatures topping out around 19C on Saturday.
Those further east can anticipate staying dry, but beach trips might be best saved until Sunday when things are expected to heat up.
Forecasters are predicting London and the south east to hit a toasty 28C.
Norwich, Manchester and York will get close to reaching those heights, with Newcastle also sunny but staying in the low twenties.
Beach-goers in Brighton and Southampton will enjoy clear skies, but temperature will cool off to around 20C.
Many northern areas will also struggle to reach last week’s dizzying temperatures, but they will still enjoy a pleasant day in the low twenties to end the week.
