PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle’s $15million Malibu mansion was previously listed to rent for $700-an-hour photo shoots – but porn was banned.
Their stunning Montecito abode appeared on the rental site Giggster for weeks after their move in – but the listing appeared to have been taken down by Friday, October 16.
The rental ad offered up the Duke and Duchess‘ home for photo shoots, music videos or other engagements – but “adult filming” was prohibited.
It’s unclear if it was the Sussexs had rented out their new home for these events.
Their house could accommodate a crew of 15 people and private parking for 50 given its sprawling 5.4 acre grounds and people previously had to rent it out for a minimum of 10 hours.
The ex-royals bought the “Italian Villa” in California this summer for a cool $14.7million and it’s believed they fixed it up since these photos were taken.
Images of the interior could be seen on the rental site before they moved in with baby Archie six weeks ago.
Along with the pornography ban, the old ad said that no smoking, no pets, no cooking and no alcohol allowed on the premises.
The villa is adorned with archways, greenery, and overlooks the sea, while inside it boasts dark wood accents with rather unfashionable furniture.
The seafront home was described as a “hidden paradise,” as one estate agent remarked that it was “designed for someone who never wants to leave home.”
Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, have been making several virtual addresses from this not-so-humble abode over the past few weeks.
In October, Meghan made six digital appearances, including her first podcast over the weekend.
The couple moved there after staying at Tyler Parry’s $18million “safe haven” home in Beverly Hills, which has 12-bedroom and eight bathrooms.
This followed a major move from Canada after they stepped down as senior UK royals in March.
Now, they can enjoy acres of land, immaculately clipped hedges, and stone-pillared entry gates at a home that took a whopping five years to built.
It also boasts a library, office, spa, sauna, gym – with a stripper pole – game room, arcade, theater, wine cellar and five-car garage.
The entrance to the impressive property opens onto a wide lane paved with hand-cut Santa Barbara Stone.
Zillow described how this led through a grand archway of trees to the main residence.
There’s also tiered rose gardens, tall Italian cypress trees, blooming lavender, century old olive trees, a tennis court, tea house, and children’s cottage, a pool, anda two-bed, two-bath guest house.
Russian tycoon Sergey Grishin is reportedly the seller of the home.
He supposedly bought the “palatial” mansion for more than $25million in 2009.
Grishin then tried to sell it for $34million before agreeing to the rather significant profit loss, reports say.
He’s the former owner of “the Scarface mansion” in Santa Barbara, which appeared in the 1983 movie but sold for $12.26million in 2015 – a third of the original asking price.
Speaking about Meghan and Harry’s new home, estate agent Brett Buschbom said: “I went through this house and an hour later I’m coming out like ‘wow.’
“The whole bottom floor felt like a resort with steam room, massage room, sauna, Jacuzzi, full bar, arcade and one of the most amazing wine cellars and that was just the basement.”
The Sussexes have reportedly been living there for the past few weeks, after their 90-mile move along the coast from Perry’s home.
A large number of famous and wealthy neighbors also live in Montecito, including Meghan’s friend Oprah Winfrey and her fellow TV host Ellen DeGeneres.
Bruce Willis, Tom Cruise, John Cleese, John Travolta, Owen Wilson and Steve Martin also live nearby, along with golf legend Fred Couples and tennis aces Mike Bryan and Jimmy Connors.
