Charlie, 41, will be playing a character called Ursula when the show goes on tour around the country.

She is set to appear for a mammoth 21 weeks when the production kicks off in December.

Veteran star Charlie , recently announced her time on the BBC One soap was up as she confirmed plans to exit her role at the end of her current contract.

HOAR exclusively revealed that Charlie, 41, who has played soap villain Janine Butcher on-and-off since 1999, will film her explosive exit this year.

Her final scenes are expected to air over the New Year period.

Speaking exclusively to HOAR on Sunday, Charlie said: “I was only ever due back to EastEnders for a year, but when [exec producer] Chris Clenshaw presented me with his idea for the story, I couldn’t say no to staying a little longer.

“I’ve had an amazing time, as I always do when I go back.

“But as always with Janine, she probably should not outstay her welcome — for everyone’s sake.”

Bosses have pulled out all the stops to make sure Janine’s exit is a corker.

They are even bringing back on-screen brother Ricky — 50-year-old Sid Owen — for the storyline. He was last seen in Albert Square ten years ago.

This week images emerged of her on-screen lover – Mick Carter’s final scenes.

Danny Dyer – who has played Mick for ten years – was seen throwing himself off a cliff and into the sea after a car carrying estranged wife Linda Carter and lover Janine Butcher flies over.

It will spark speculation that Mick is being killed off just like Janine’s first husband Barry Evans who died when she pushed him over a cliff in 2004.

Charlie first appeared in Albert Square as Janine — daughter of Frank Butcher, played by the late Mike Reid — back in 1999.
