Ant McPartlin’s ex Lisa Armstrong barely gets a mention in his autobiography, even though it spans his life for nearly 30 years.
Anthony McPartlin, 44, wrote the book alongside his longtime pal and collaborator Declan Donnelly, 44, and charts their lives since 1990.
The new autobiography, Once Upon a Tyne: Celebrating 30 years together on telly, covers the high and lows of both Ant and Dec’s careers and personal lives.
But while Dec gushes about his wife, Ali Alstall, in the book, Ant barely mentions his wife of ten years, Lisa.
Ant announced in January 2018 that he and Lisa were splitting after ten years of marriage.
They had been a couple since 1994 after meeting at a pop concert with Ant proposing to Lisa in 2005 during a holiday to Dubai.
The couple’s bitter divorce was finalised this year with the former couple agreeing to share their beloved labrador dog Hurley in their £31million divorce battle.
But the word divorce is mentioned only once in the ‘tell-all’ book.
In a section of the book Ant and Dec revealed the duo almost split up at the height of Ant’s addiction battle.
When he hit rock bottom it forced him to cancel the Britain’s Got Talent live shows and I’m A Celebrity that year.
Ant wrote: “…So much had happened to us both.”
“I’d gone through rehab and a divorce and Dec had become a dad for the first time.
“These are seminal points in your life, huge moments that, especially in my case, could have gone either way.”
On the other hand, Dec can’t stop gushing about his family and how much being a dad changed him.
He even bragged about the time Prince Charles sent Ali and him a personalised letter with a set of paintings he’d done as a wedding present.
Dec explained: “Prince Charles loves writing letters.”
“When I got married in 2015, Ant got in touch with HRH. He politely declined the stag do (again, his loss) but he did send a handwritten letter to Ali and me, as well as a lovely wedding gift – a set of placements that were all watercolours he’d painted himself.”
Even though Lisa was erased from Ant’s autobiography the Strictly Come Dancing make-up artist, 43, seems to be doing well.
She has found a new love interest and launched her own make-up line with powerhouse brand, Avon.
She’s teamed up with the huge brand and her handpicked products will be on sale soon.
Lisa’s launch comes hot off the back of her new relationship with electrician James Green, 37.
HOAR revealed that Lisa had found love again last month following her bitter split from Geordie TV favourite Ant.
Ant moved on from their marriage with his personal assistant Anne-Marie Corbett.
