SIAN Welby has been named as the “front runner” to take over Holly Willoughby’s This Morning job after a successful debut.

The 37-year-old hosted Monday’s This Morning alongside Dermot O’Leary – and she went down a treat with viewers.

Rushing to social media to have their say, one wrote: “Sian is smashing it on #ThisMorning.”

And another said: “Sian is the absolute best since Holly left.”

Now Ladbrokes have named the radio host as favourite to become a permanent host following Holly’s shock exit in October 2023.

While Sian is currently leading the way, others in the mix according to the bookies are Josie Gibson, Alison Hammond and Emma Willis.

Sian is best known for being a host on the Capital Breakfast show, alongside Roman Kemp.

She joined the show in 2020, replacing Vick Hope after she left the programme.

Sian got her big break when she was just 19, when a starring role in an advert for New! Magazine, led to her being spotted by former Channel 5 owner Richard Desmond.

She later landed a job on Channel 5 News in November 2010.

Holly stepped down from her role after 14 years, saying in a statement at the time: “Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you. Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.”
