Fred Siriex, star of First Dates, and his fiancée Fruitcake couldn’t contain their excitement as they boarded their business class flight home after Fred’s stint on I’m A Celebrity. The couple posed for a selfie in their seats, with Fruitcake showing off her stunning diamond engagement ring.
Fighting Jet Lag
As the couple prepared to embark on their journey from Brisbane to Singapore, Fred expressed his determination to stay awake and avoid jet lag. He shared on X, “I’m desperately trying to stay awake for the first leg of my plane journey back to London to avoid the jet lag.”
A Long Layover
However, Fred’s task became even more challenging when he realized they had a four-hour wait for their connecting flight. The exhaustion started to show as Fred shared another selfie, looking visibly tired.
Living the High Life
Since their jungle exit, Fred and Fruitcake have been enjoying the luxuries of a five-star hotel. They’ve been documenting their experiences on social media, including indulging in bubble baths with a view, oysters, and champagne.
A Jungle Feud Settled
Fred also took the opportunity to address a cooking feud he had with Josie Gibson during his time on the show. While in charge of the camp kitchen, Fred was not pleased when Josie tried to take control. However, Fred clarified that his actions were not meant to offend or be sexist and that he regrets not letting Josie do things her way. He expressed his willingness to apologize if she was offended.
Reunited at Last
After three weeks apart, Fred and Fruitcake were finally reunited and ready to return home.
