I’m A Celebrity champion Sam Thompson has revealed that he had “no idea” about any tensions in the jungle camp. Thompson, who was crowned the King of the Jungle on the ITV reality show, admitted that he avoided any sense of tension and was unaware of the fiery political debates among his co-stars, including former UKIP leader Nigel Farage. Thompson stated that he didn’t know much about Farage before entering the camp, but got to know him as a “sweet enough dude” during their time together.
Avoiding Heated Exchanges
Thompson confessed that he had “nothing to add” to the political conversations in the camp, so he would often find himself distracted by his ADHD and “following a butterfly instead down by the creek.” Despite the clashes between Farage and other campmates, Thompson managed to stay out of any brewing trouble and enjoy his experience in the jungle.
Overwhelmed by Victory
Although he was the favorite to win, Thompson was visibly shocked when his name was called out in the live finale. He leapt into the arms of runner-up Tony Bellew and expressed his gratitude to Ant and Dec. Overwhelmed with emotion, Thompson said, “I’m really overwhelmed. I didn’t think I was even going to be invited on the show. You’ve made a boy’s dream come true. Thank you.”
Thompson’s victory in I’m A Celebrity marks the end of a successful season filled with drama, challenges, and unexpected friendships.
