I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star Nella Rose has recently revealed that she turned to alcohol and food as a way to cope with her father’s death. The 26-year-old YouTuber opened up to her fellow campmate Grace Dent about her struggles following the passing of her father, Kamango Paul Hollela.
From Size 12 to Size 20
Nella shared that her weight increased significantly as she dealt with the grief, which was compounded by the loss of her mother four years earlier. She admitted to Grace Dent that her lack of self-discipline led her from a size 12 to a size 20. During the two months following her father’s death, she isolated herself at home, consuming alcohol and food on a daily basis.
Challenges and Dreams
When asked about her aspirations for November 2024, Nella expressed her desire to give men a chance and be in a fulfilling relationship. She also mentioned her goal of living a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.
Additionally, Nella revealed that she almost quit the ITV show, as she had a tendency to not follow through with difficult challenges. However, she decided to push herself and see it through.
Adapting to Jungle Life
In the Bush Telegraph, Nella admitted that jungle life has proven to be more challenging than she anticipated. She acknowledged the growing pains of adapting to her new environment.
A Tragic Loss
Nella’s father passed away in 2020, and her mother, Eseho Omolongo, tragically died four years prior. The cause of her mother’s death has not been disclosed, but Nella mentioned that her mother had been ill for a significant period of time.
After her mother’s passing, Nella lost her council flat and had to rely on sofa-surfing while she pursued her education. Eventually, she was able to secure her own place.
Despite the challenges she has faced, Nella continues to share her journey with her YouTube subscribers, providing a glimpse into her life and experiences.
