CAROL Vorderman has revealed why struggles when swimming underwater – and it’s down to her famous bum.
During her recent stint on I’m a Celebrity South Africa the 62-year-old was was tasked with an underwater challenge alongside Olympian Fatima Whitbread.
Former Countdown host Carol later admitted it was one of her worst experiences in the jungle.
“The trial in the tanks was horrendous,” Carol said.
“It was awful. I really panicked doing it. I didn’t make it into the last tank.”
Now she’s opened up on why. Appearing on Friday’s Loose Women, Carol was asked by Kaye Adams: “How’s the buoyant bottom of yours?”
She replied: “Honestly, scientifically, it floats to the top.
“Because fat is lighter than water. It just floats to the top because there’s a lot of fat in it.
“So it’s very difficult for me to snorkel, for instance.”
Carol previously confessed the water trial left her “knocked for days”.
“I was so scared. When we were on our way back to camp, I could feel the emotions building up in me. I must admit, it knocked me for a couple of days. I kept reliving it in my head,” Carol told the Daily Star.
