Former X Factor contestant Rylan Clark has publicly turned down an offer to appear on the hit ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!. The TV presenter, who is known for his role on This Morning, revealed that he has been approached multiple times to join the show but has consistently declined.
Not Interested
Clark, 35, even went as far as telling ITV bosses to “go away” when they asked him again to sign up. He admitted that he might be tempted to participate if he gets drunk, but quickly dismissed the idea. “I just know one day I’ll get drunk and say yes and hate every minute of it,” he tweeted.
Fans Beg to Differ
Despite Clark’s refusal, many of his fans believe that it would be a great idea for him to appear on I’m A Celebrity in the future. They took to social media to express their support, with one fan saying, “Yes Rylan!! Rylan for I’m a celeb 2024! Do it for the celebrity cyclone!”
This Morning Connection
This year’s I’m A Celebrity is of particular interest to Clark as his This Morning colleague Josie Gibson is currently a contestant on the show. Gibson, who rose to fame on Big Brother in 2010, has already impressed viewers with her performance in the first trial. Some fans are already predicting that she will be crowned the Queen Of The Jungle when the series concludes in three weeks’ time.
On the launch night, Gibson, Nigel Farage, and Nella Rose were tasked with retrieving tokens in the outback desert. Their success in the trial determined how much time their fellow campmates had to complete their first trials and win meals for the group. Gibson’s efforts helped secure a whopping 10 stars for the camp, resulting in a satisfying kangaroo meal.
