McDermott’s best friend, Pete Wicks, flew to Australia to meet Sam on the famous bridge, but fans wondered why McDermott wasn’t there. The reason may be that she was potentially participating in Strictly Come Dancing during Sam’s time in the jungle. As a result, her appearance on the show was not confirmed by ITV bosses.
